Essa vai para os meus amigos (Conhecidos e desconhecidos), "Teatrólogos".
Life as we know it is only that:
WHAT WE KNOW...
Anything attributed certain definition is in constant flux as we absorb the world around us. What is perceived as art, sex or religion alters according to whom is doing the perceiving, thus nothing bears any definition at all.
The influence of society and reality creates a cliff between life and soul. The routine of daily living inhibitions and provides easy distraction from our fears, curiosities and especially dreams we’d rather not remember.
When confronted with these contrived abnormalities it seems easier to turn our heads rather than investigate how we think and feel about them.
Sexuality, spirituality and darkness are inherent to our nature, yet often it seems we strive to avoid exploring these parts of ourselves… because they frighten us.
There are three forms of art: commercial, aesthetic and thoughtful. What one finds pleasing to the eye might not merit anything meaningful at all, while something difficult to look on may stir reaches of the spirit long left dormant. There is beauty to be discovered in the darkest places we try to hide – and hide from.
To look at something that at first is repulsive, grotesque or reminiscent of pain causes a torrent of feeling long since stirred in most. What is shocking may not be once pondered; what is unsettling might only be because it touches upon a part of oneself no longer recognized. It is important to think and realize emotion before passing judgment on what is habitually cast aside in favor for what is naturally pleasant. Society has an amusing way of discarding what it doesn’t understand, especially when it rouses emotion.
True art is what riles not only sight, but also feeling and thought. Regardless if positive or negative… or seems to be.
KEEP IN MIND...
Good luck my friends!
